I’m going to have to change up my breakfast tomorrow because I’ll be taking a beginners fitness class! Yay π The fact that it’s at 10:30am doesn’t sound appealing to me. I’m much more of a night owl than a morning person.. that’s probably why 6am shifts make me feel like sh*t all day!
I went to my policing class and had clammy hands up until my presentation. I really don’t like public speaking! I act like I have confidence though so, eventhough I’m freaking out on the inside, I don’t look like a complete nervous wreck on the outside, ha.
I got home at 4:30 and was STARVING! I don’t know how some of you last for 4 hours with out food… it just doesn’t work out well for me.
By 5:30, I had eaten a piece of fried chicken, numerous french fries (both home made), and some salad with apple cider vinegar dressing. Because i was so hungry after I ate, I felt horrible after my meal, eventhough I’m sure (for once) i didn’t overeat. I was hoping it would pass by 6pm =(
At 6, with a still hurting tummy, I met up with a friend and we went for a 2.5 hour walk. It may not be much for some of you, but personally, my feet were KILLING me afterwards! I love that I got out of the house for a couple of hours though, and didn’t stop at a fast food joint (we both forgot out wallets at home, so we couldn’t even if we wanted to haha)
I showered whenΒ I got home (because I wont have time tomorrow morning), and ate 3 of these:

I don’t know what I was thinking when I assumed that would keep me from being hungry.. so, I went back to the kitchen and poured myself a nice big bowl of cereal:
I think all that fresh air is starting to catch up to me – I’m getting a little sleepy!
QUESTIONS: What’s a good pre-workout meal? Also, how are you with public speaking?

Mmm… that spoonful shot of your oats looks so good!
Pre-workout meal for me includes mega carbs =P I like oatmeal, but some people don’t like to work out with the feeling of oatmeal in their belly… Maybe you could try a banana with pb?
I am so bad with public speaking! I try to do the same as you by pretending that I am confident.. but it doesn’t always work! It used to be so bad… my knees would shake!

before work outs i try to eat a little bit of carbs, but keep it small. yesterday i had an apple w/ peanut butter, sometimes i’ll have pretzels & hummus, or even just some milk & cereal. i recently read that before a race cereal & milk is a good idea. interesting, right? i looooooooove cereal at the end of the night. it’s as good as dessert for me! i chomped on a bunch of special k fruit & yogurt cereal last night…and again as soon as i woke up. π
I am terrible at public speaking. Even in a smallish group of friends, if all eyes are on me I turn red and stutter, or forget my point. It’s very embarrassing.
2.5 hour walk? That is a LOT to me! No wonder your feet were killing you! π
Hmmm – I usually don’t eat meals before I workout only because I workout at the butt crack of dawn usually (5:45/6:00 a.m.) and I am not hungry that early. But if I go on the weekends and go later in the mornings, a lot of times I’ll have a banana or small bar before, and then the second 1/2 of my breakfast when I get home. It’s perfect!
Uhhh, I am pretty bad at public speaking! Actually, I am a LOT better than I was when I was younger – don’t know if that’s age or experience or maybe because I’m a little more outgoing? But it still makes my tummy hurt!
For pre-workout meals I like things like dates or bananas. They perk me right up! π
I’m.. decent with public speaking although I haven’t done it in awhile so there’s a possibly that I’ve gotten better.. or worse. Haha.
We have TONS of kiwis in the fridge downstairs so I think I know what I’ll be eating a lot of for the next few days. If they’re ripe. Which they may not be.
